Bitcoin Nottingham is excited to announce the Bitcoin Football Festival – Nottingham. The event will take place on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at Carlton Town Football Club. The festival is aimed at anyone who is new to Bitcoin, or simply has some curiosity and would like to learn more. Of course, we really hope more experienced bitcoiners will come and join our full day of action too. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their experience.

The event is still in the planning stage, and we will update you when we have a concrete plan in place. However, here’s what you can expect from the day:

• Starting at 10:00 there will be breakfast rolls and a change to network and chat.
• Around 10:45 we will have talks from some of the following people:
  Victoria Collette Jones (Author of the book Truth Decay) – A presentation on Monetary policy, economics, and why bitcoin matters
  Coach Carbon – A talk on how bitcoin ties in with football, your health, and your wellbeing
  James (Bridges2Bitcoin) – Talk TBC
  Si (Bridges2Bitcoin) – Talking about the bitcoin meetup and social scene, and how its grown so much in the recent years.
  TBC – Ben Arc, and LOTS OF OTHER UK BITCOINERS HAVE EXPRESSED INTEREST IN TALKING AT THE EVENT.
• Around 13:30 the talks will come to an end leaving more time to chat and network, Buffet Lunch will be provided for free.
• At 15:00 there is a Carlton Town Match which we will be sponsoring, everyone attending the bitcoin talks will have the opportunity to stay and watch the match or continue the bitcoin discussion in our ‘bitcoiners-only’ room
• After the match there the bar will remain open with a DJ until late evening.
• They’ll also be some stalls selling bitcoin related merchandise throughout the day.

The event is intended to be something you can bring the family along to with the training football pitches open throughout the day for kids to have a kick around.
